Photographed using late 1940s sheet Kodachrome - a film stock that remains legendary for its tonal range, color accuracy, and detail, this book presents a gallery of hundreds of full-color photos of the stars of Hollywood's Golden Age. It features Elizabeth Taylor, Ava Gardner, Fred Astaire, Humphrey Bogart, Frank Sinatra, among others. Kodachrome film saturated the 1940s with an unprecedented explosion of color.
