Het Noordzeegebied is belangrijk voor veel vogels: om te broeden, te overwinteren of als pleisterplaats tijdens de trek. Gedurende vierenhalf jaar reisde Sijmen Hendriks rond de Noordzee. Hij fotografeerde vogels en de landschappen waarin zij leven.
